Our Mission

A Public-Sector Operations Company for a New Era of Medicaid Verification

Veridian Public helps state agencies, counties, Tribal Nation organizations, managed care organizations, and implementation partners operationalize the Medicaid verification provisions added by Public Law 119-21.

We were built for one focused purpose: to support every verification provision the law adds — across every affected population, every verification workflow, and every service channel.

State Medicaid programs are being asked to do more, faster, and with greater accuracy than ever before. Public Law 119-21 introduced new operational requirements that affect state Medicaid agencies, county eligibility offices, Tribal Nation processing organizations, MCO compliance teams, and the partners who deliver alongside them.

Veridian Public exists because agencies deserve a serious, capable partner — one that combines operational discipline, trained people, compliance-ready technology, and human-centered engagement without disrupting the systems already serving the public.

Our Founder

Founded by Daniel R. Miller

Veridian Public was founded by Daniel R. Miller, Founder and President.

Dan’s connection to technology began early. At age 16, he wrote his first computer program using paper tape on a teletype terminal, timesharing on Control Data mainframes — between milking cows and shoveling manure during Minnesota winters. His early exposure to BASIC, COBOL, and FORTRAN gave him a lifelong appreciation for the practical power of technology when it is applied with discipline and purpose.

Dan later earned a B.S. in Accounting from Minnesota State University in 1974 and a J.D. from the University of Oregon in 1982. Across more than forty years, he has advised small and medium-sized businesses, taught on taxation and accounting issues, and worked closely with organizations navigating complex operational, financial, and compliance challenges.

He has served as Treasurer of the Oregon JAYCEES, President of the Society of California Accountants, and as an officer of several start-up companies. That combination of legal, accounting, business, and technology experience shapes Veridian Public’s approach: practical, accountable, compliance-aware, and built for real-world implementation.

What We Believe

Six operating principles — written down so they can be held against us.

  • State systems are systems of record. Our role is to support them.
  • Verification is a public trust. It must be accurate, transparent, and humane.
  • Coverage continuity matters. Eligible individuals must not be lost to administrative gaps.
  • AI should assist trained people. It should not make eligibility decisions.
  • Compliance and audit-readiness are baseline expectations, not premium add-ons.
  • Public-sector operations require institutional discipline.
How We Work

Operations, technology, and people in one coordinated model.

Veridian Public combines a verification operations center, a technology platform, and an experienced public-sector operations model to deliver an integrated capability agencies can rely on.

Whether engaged directly by a public agency or through a prime contractor or implementation partner, we operate within the policies, governance, and systems of the agency we support. We document the work, preserve audit trails, support staff capacity, and help agencies meet statutory obligations while protecting the individuals and families who depend on Medicaid coverage.

Our Approach

Public impact, measured.

We measure success the way public agencies do: accurate verification, continued coverage for eligible individuals, complete audit records, reduced burden on eligibility staff, and implementation that can withstand review.

Veridian Public exists to help states and their partners meet the new Medicaid verification mandate in a sustainable, accountable, and human-centered way.

Let’s work together on the new Medicaid mandate.
